Who can get a card
If you live in or own property in DeWitt County and are in the Deland-Weldon School District, you may obtain a Weldon Public Library District card.
We are always happy to welcome new partons to the library!
Information about any and all non-residence fees.
How to Get Your Card
If you bring in proof of address and photo identification with your birthdate and social security or driver's license number, a library card will be issued to you. Please be assured, this information is only for identification purposes and will be kept confidential.
There are no borrowing limits to library materials with the exception of video's, DVD's, audio books and music CD's. Videos and DVD's are limited to two per adult card and 5 per family. Music CD's and audio books are two per patron card.
Holds may be placed on any library materials, and you will be contacted by phone for notice when materials are available. You will be allowed one day to pick-up the item, after then the item will be placed on the shelf or the next person on hold will be contacted.
Renewing Your Borrowed Items
You may renew library materials by phone or in person at the library. Materials that have been Inter-library loaned from another library may not always be renewed.
The library, at this time does not charge a fine for overdue materials with the exception of videos and DVD’s. Movies and DVD’s have a fee of $1.00 a day per item. All late fees should be paid before the patron is allowed to check out other movies.
Overdue reminder notices are sent on late materials; however it is your responsibility to return your materials on time. Lost items must be paid for before your card will be accepted again for checkout. A minimum fine of $5.00 or the cost of the item if over $5.00, will be charged for each lost item.
