Mission Statement
The Weldon Public Library District is a strong community partner providing programs, access to information, and services that bring people together, foster creativity, and encourage lifelong learning for all.
The library will provide a well-trained, courteous staff, and will cooperate with other libraries, library systems, educational, cultural, community and government agencies in order to carry out this mission.

Vision
Weldon Public Library District strengthens our community by advancing literacy, enriching lifelong learning, and empowering civic engagement. We want every Weldon Public Library District resident to have a library card and use it!
Values
The Weldon Public Library District Board of Trustees and staff are committed to supporting the following values:
- To provide current, high demand, high interest materials in a variety of formats for
persons of all ages.
- To encourage children to develop an interest in reading and learning.
- To serve the community as a key source of general information.
- To cooperate with local organizations and schools.
- To offer educational and recreational learning opportunities.
- To promote and stimulate knowledge, culture and enjoyment for all residents.
- To serve as the information technology center for the community
