Mission Statement

 

 

The Weldon Public Library District will provide residents of the district with informational, recreational, cultural and educational resources in a variety of formats.  The library will accomplish its mission through a well-trained and courteous staff.  The library will cooperate with other libraries, library systems, educational, cultural, community and government agencies in order to carry out this mission.

 

Objectives

 

-  To provide current, high demand, high interest materials in a variety of formats for             

    persons of all ages.

-  To encourage children to develop an interest in reading and learning.

-  To serve the community as a key source of general information.

-  To cooperate with local organizations and schools.

-  To offer educational and recreational learning opportunities.

-  To promote and stimulate knowledge, culture and enjoyment for all residents.

-  To serve as the information technology center for the community.
